What We Do

Joseph W. Delozier III,  specializes in the finding and developement of young thoroughbred racehorses.  With 19 years in the racehorse business, he spent the first 12 years as a Steeplechase Jockey.  He rode in North America for some of the top trainers such as, Jonathan Shepperd, Tom Voss and Charlie Fenwick.  He also had the opportunity to ride abroad in England for Martin Pipe.  One of his strong suits as a rider was the development of young thoroughbreds.

Upon J.W.'s retirement, his interest quickly turned to training.  JWD Racing was born in 2004 with four horses.  In 2005 his team accomplished 33 wins with a win percentage at 19% with a stable of 13 horses. 

JWD Racing would love to have the opportunity to help you find and train your next successful 2 year old.  J.W. attends all of the major sales and has had great success in finding throughbred prospects.  He is also available for one on one consultations with proscective owners and/ or breeders.
